As I sit here gazing upon lush green grass, beautiful trees swaying in the wind; I hear birds
chirping, and the sky is an amazing blue with not a cloud in it, I am amazed. I have seen beautiful paintings of beautiful scenery, but no one can paint scenery like our God. My
grandmother used to say that the reason everything was growing upward was in praise and adoration to the one who created it, and I believe that all nature recognizes his majesty.

I’m not sure how people can go through life and not take the time to look around them, we tend to rush through life without taking it all in, but at least for me on this day I am consumed with the
beauty I see, and consumed with the sights and sounds and smells of God’s creation. I wonder sometimes why he made earth so beautiful, and then I wonder, if God has given us this kind of
beauty to gaze upon, how much more breathtaking can heaven be?

I wanted to see what scripture had to say and this is just a sampling of what I found:
Job 12:7-10 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee, and the fowls of the air and they shall tell thee:
8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this?10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
Psalm 96:11-12 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice.
Psalm 33:5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

When we look around we can have the assurance that God created all this. It was not an accident, it wasn’t some big explosion, this is very detailed and thought out, an amazing work of the creator, the master planner. All the earth worshiping and praising him, shouldn’t we as believers do the same each and every day? Shouldn’t we have such an expression and attitude
that sets us apart from the world, and causes people to ask, “what is it that makes you look so joyful all the time?” I think it is possible. We are told that we are a city on a hill, we are to be an
example for others in a dark world, are you? What is your excuse?

It takes less than a second to smile at someone or nod your head to them. It will not only make them feel good it may just make you feel good as well because more than likely they will smile back. We all like a friendly face. God has given us just a glimpse of what Heaven is like. Looking at it, being able to enjoy it with all our senses is a wonderful thing. I want to be more aware of my surroundings and look for the beauty that God gave us.
Try it, you might find that it clears your head, improves your disposition, or simply fills you with a sense of well -being. I guarantee if you really look it will only bring good thoughts to your mind and a warm feeling to your heart.
