God you are:
A perfect match for my every need.
I am weak, you are strength.
I am unable, you are capable.
I am hesitant, you are assurance.
I am desperate, you are fulfillment.
I am confused, you are confidence.
I am tired, you are rejuvenation.

I opened my Bible and was flipping through the pages waiting for the Lord to direct what I read today. I landed on these words that I had written down at some point, most likely words my pastor has spoken. As I read each word the truth of each statement lept off the page at me. God is everything we need in every area of our lives. I know for myself I have felt each of these feelings, sometimes to the point of tears. As I have waded through the muck of my emotions seeking the Lord’s help, I can never recall a time when he did not comfort and help me; he gave me all I needed every time.

I wanted to look at scripture that clearly states each of these statements, in God’s own words.

Psalm 16:5 “You, Lord are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands.”

2 Corinthian’s 12:9 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Job 42:2 “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”

Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wastelands.”

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

Proverbs 3:5-7 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in our own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.”

Psalm 62:8 “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord, will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

2 Samuel 22:33 “God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect.”

Nehemiah 8:10 “…the joy of the Lord is my strength.”

Psalm 31:24 “Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.”

Psalm 61:1-4 “Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. 2 From the ends of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. 4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of they wings. Selah

These are just a few scriptures. Isn’t it wonderful to know that we are held securely by the hands of the one who created it all!
