Remember All He Said…

Remember What He Said

This world is a scary place. It seems most headlines start with someone who was killed, someone who was murdered, there was a mass shooting, the COVID variant is running rampant in areas. Businesses cannot find workers, etc. This world becomes more and more foreign to me the longer I live in it, and I am reminded of this scripture, “Philippians 3:20 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” This is my residence, but it is not my home. One day we will be free of the terrors and hardships of this life, but until then, let me give you a few scriptures that remind us how we are to live and feel. Meditate on them, let them sink into your heart, and be reminded. God is in control and he wants us to walk heads up, unafraid. We have nothing to fear.

Isaiah 35:4 “say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your
God will come with vengeance; with divine retribution, he will come and save you.”

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Matthew 14:27 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me.”

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”

Psalm 118:6 “The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Psalm 115:11 “You who fear him, trust in the Lord, he is their help and shield.”

These are just a few. Take time to let them sink deep into your soul. God is in control, no matter what it looks like, HE IS SOVEREIGN. One day evil will be banished, the evil one trampled upon and Jesus will rule and reign.

If you are a Christian and bound up by fear and anxiety, why don’t you do as the bible commands us to do, and rest in him. Unafraid, no more fear, no more anxiety. Trust Him. There is such freedom in trusting God to be God and do all He has promised.
